Pretty Plates & Powerful Women: A Citrus-Inspired Summer Tablescape

There’s something magical about summer gatherings. The bright colors, fresh flavors, warm sunshine, and meaningful conversations all come together to create moments people truly remember. For this special event, we wanted every detail to feel joyful, elevated, and full of life.

A few weeks before the event, Sandy reached out with a beautiful vision. She wanted to host an intimate picnic-style gathering centered around celebrating nine incredibly supportive women who had been part of her personal journey. Together, we created the concept Pretty Plates & Powerful Women — a summer tablescape experience designed to honor friendship, strength, and connection.

The Inspiration Behind the Tablescape
When we think of summer, we immediately picture citrus fruits, vibrant tones, and playful color palettes. That became the foundation for the entire design direction.

We leaned into bright pinks, sunset oranges, lemon yellows, and soft feminine details to create a tablescape that felt energetic yet elegant. Every piece was intentionally chosen to reflect warmth, celebration, and summertime beauty.

But the vision didn’t stop at florals.

One of the biggest tablescape trends for 2026 is incorporating fresh fruits and organic elements directly into the styling. From decorative lemons to layered citrus accents, fruits bring texture, color, and a naturally luxurious feel to the table.

That’s where the idea truly came alive.
